Gaurav Iyer is the global leader for AI solutions and digital engineering for EXL’s insurance, healthcare, life sciences, and international growth markets. In this role, he is responsible for scaling EXL’s suite of AI solutions, incubating new data and AI-based capabilities to solve key industry problems, embedding proprietary and third-party AI solutions into operations for clients, and heading engineering and product delivery. He also leads EXL’s AI R&D function with a focus on agentic AI and is the business sponsor for some of the company’s large technology partnerships.

Gaurav originally joined Inductis, a management consulting firm, after completing business school. He came over to EXL when Inductis was acquired in 2006. Previously, Gaurav has worked with Fortune 500 enterprises in banking, insurance, energy, and retail, to design and implement high-growth, cost-efficient business models that are data-driven, AI-powered, and leverage a global talent pool. He has worked with clients in the US, UK, and APAC, and is passionate about helping enterprises achieve higher business growth, better customer loyalty, and lower costs. He has played various roles across EXL including analytics consulting, operational client delivery, center of excellence setup, account management, and as chief of staff to EXL’s vice chairman and CEO.

Gaurav holds a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and a bachelor’s degree in information sciences from Delhi University, India.
