Timeline and FAQs
The mentoring sessions will be available for anyone who wishes to utilize the advisory mentors between 16th to 31st October. The advisors are available to mentor, guide, and answer your questions. Given limited availability and stringent timelines please plan your meetings in advance to avoid last-minute disappointments.
Participants will be invited to an open prep session with the IdeaTank team, where we will guide you through the entire process. In this session, we’ll review the overall timeline, covering key milestones and important deadlines for round II. We’ll also provide clear guidance on how to structure your pitch deck and go over essential do’s and don’ts to help ensure your success. This session is designed to give all participants the tools and insights they need to confidently prepare and present their ideas.
Following Guy Kawasaki’s 10-20-30 rule, your pitch should contain 10 slides, last no more than 20 minutes, and use a minimum font size of 30 points. This format ensures clarity and conciseness.
We have shared pitch references and links via email. Please ensure you review those materials as they offer valuable insights and examples for your pitch preparation.
You will be expected to present your pitch in person at the designated office in your geography. This applies to all locations. However, if you are unable to attend in person or if there are logistical challenges, such as inadequate connectivity, an option for online presentation will be made available. Regardless of the format, please be prepared to present within the allotted time. The timelines for Pitch week are Nov 04 – Nov 08, 2024.
You will have a total of 30 minutes, of which 20 minutes is for your pitch and 5 minutes is reserved for Q&A with the senior leaders and the additional 5 for setup. Please plan your presentation accordingly to ensure you leave time for questions.
The Q&A session is an opportunity for you to clarify points from your pitch and address any concerns or questions from the senior leaders. Be ready to elaborate on your idea’s feasibility, market potential, and innovation.
Q8. Will there be opportunities to receive guidance from advisory mentors while preparing our pitch?
Yes, participants will have the opportunity to receive guidance from advisory mentors. While the exact timing and availability will be available closer to pitch week, there will be opportunities for teams to connect with the advisors who can offer valuable insights, feedback, and support as you refine your pitch. Stay tuned for more details on how to engage with advisors as you progress.
The advisors will help you refine your pitch, offer feedback, and address specific concerns related to your idea. They will guide you through crafting a compelling narrative and ensuring your key points are communicated effectively.
You should prepare a clear and concise deck following the 10-20-30 rule, rehearse your pitch to fit within 20 minutes, and be ready for a robust Q&A session. Ensure that you’ve reviewed the pitch reference materials provided.
Yes, you are encouraged to refine your pitch based on feedback from the advisor sessions. However, all final pitches should be ready for submission by the official start of Round Two on 22st October.
Both the content and delivery will be evaluated. Make sure your pitch is clear, concise, and engaging, while addressing key elements such as the problem, solution, market opportunity, and innovation.
We strongly advise you to be punctual. Missing your slot may result in forfeiture of your chance to present, so please plan accordingly.
You will receive an official communication indicating your assigned office based on your location.
The senior leaders will listen to your pitch, evaluate it based on innovation, market potential, and feasibility, and ask detailed questions to understand your idea better.
You are encouraged to use visuals to support your pitch but remember to keep it simple and aligned with the 10-20-30 rule. Ensure that any additional materials are submitted in advance for review.
